Where we work · 03
One of Tuscany's most celebrated landscapes is also one of the most demanding for those who own a house there: long distances, gravel roads, wind on the ridges, strict protections. We look after houses around Pienza and San Quirico d'Orcia.
What happens to a house here
The landscape is protected with particular rigour: even modest exterior works, such as a fence or a pergola, may require authorisation. Before any work, a technician should be consulted.
Many houses are reached by gravel roads that rain damages and summer fills with dust. Suppliers and deliveries must be organised well ahead: for a tradesman, an hour on the road is part of the quote.
Tall grass and drought make it important to cut back around the house in time and keep an eye on wells, cisterns and the water used by pool and garden.

For occasions
Val d'Orcia is much sought after for weddings and private events: all the more reason to choose carefully. We check access for vehicles on gravel roads, accommodation for guests, wind and plan B, music curfews in the most isolated spots.
